You will need to be sure they do not rub. One thing I noticed in my install, was that the rear coilovers have a very small gap between the shock body and the wheels/tires. ie – if you want to lower the car 1″, lower the pre-load by.   • Torque bolts, install wheels and torque lug nuts.
  • Measure free length of springs (All 4 corners).
  • Set the bump travel, as outlined in technical document.

  • Install new coilovers, bolt to top and bottom. lowering two options are the Ford performance spring and damper kit or coilovers.
  • (Front) Remove brake line, remove abs line.
  • Remove old suspension via 3 upper bolts and 2 lower bolts.
  • 350z is the kind of car that makes you want to drive hard and flat out.

    I do notice some minor rubbing on the rear lower shock body and the top of the OEM rear lower control arm as the rear suspension goes through its travel. My install was pretty straight forward, and I’ll outline what I did next. Flatout suspension has the option to go with the OEM top mount in place of the pillowball mount in the rear.
